NATIONAL DAY OF REMEMBRANCE FOR MURDER VICTIMS

Thursday, September 25, 2008

7:00 p.m.

FIRST CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE

10715 WEST AVENUE    SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS 78213

This year our Day of Remembrance falls on a Thursday. Our guest speaker will be Jane Swanson, a 2003 survivor of an office shooting. We hope to see all of our members along with their families and friends near and far on this special day to remember our loved ones; we encourage you to mark your calendars and send out emails and make phone calls to family and friends to support you on this day. If you have collages of your loved one or special pictures, we hope you will bring them with you to share; if you have easels to display your collages, please bring them. We will display our pictures in the foyer of the sanctuary. Our hope is to display at least one picture of all of our victims and if you have more pictures that you would like to share please don’t hesitate. In addition to pictures you may also want to share items that were special to the victim for instance, stuffed animals, model cars, etc. At the close of our memorial service you will be given a candle to light. This will be a very meaningful gathering and your presence and support will be greatly appreciated.

Location: FIRST CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE

10715 West Avenue.  It is approximately 1.7 miles outside Loop 410.  It is a beautiful location inside and out.  The Church has been kind enough to loan us their Church building free of charge again and we appreciate their kindness to our group so much! You will find the map to the church on the back of this page.
